This is a flapjack recipe that I recently discovered, it’s a Mary Berry one that I’ve added my own twist to. They are sooo delicious and basically fool proof to make, so you can’t go wrong! (In the recipe it does say to bake them for 30 minutes, but I found 20 minutes was enough for mine (I mean what does Mary Berry know about baking amirite?!)
Chocolate and Cranberry Flapjack
90g golden syrup
90g light muscovado sugar
250g rolled oats
100g chocolate chips
100g dried cranberries
Line a 20 x 30cm baking tray with greaseproof paper.
Combine the butter, syrup, and sugar in a pan and heat gently until the ingredients have melted and dissolved. Stir in the oats and mix well.
Spoon into the lined tin and squash down with the back of a metal spoon.
Bake for approx 30 minutes at 180c.
Leave to cool and then cut into pieces
