When I went to India a few months back, I decided that I really wanted to try and capture some portraits of the people I met whilst there. Some of these photos are of people in the streets, children in the desert and people working, happy to be snapped whilst going about their day.
It’s such a beautifully vibrant place, the colours are so vivid and there’s always an interesting face to photograph, no matter where you go. Most people are more than happy to be photographed, they will pose for you and enjoy seeing their photo on the back of the camera afterwards, sometimes they will accept some Rupees afterwards and other times they will tell you that they don’t want any money, they are just happy to have met you.
These are a selection of photos taken in Jaisalmer, Jaipur, Udaipur and Agra. I’d love to go back one day and do some more exploring of the busy streets and markets… one day!
